When does Fifa TOTS 23 come out? How the Team of the Season vote works and who’s on the shortlist

Every year the Fifa games release boosted squads featuring the best-performing players from major leagues around the world

Fifa’s annual Team of the Season (TOTS) event is coming up and, as always, it promises to be a highlight of the Ultimate Team calendar.

Every year the Fifa games release boosted squads featuring the best-performing players from major leagues around the world.

Fans help select these teams by voting on the EA website, and getting your hands on a TOTS player can really change the fortunes of your Ultimate Team.

These players can be picked up in packs like regular players, or purchased on the transfer market. They come with performance-based special items, making them better and more valuable than normal player cards.

Here’s what we know about the Fifa 23 TOTS release schedule, and how you can vote.

When are the Fifa 23 TOTS releases?

The first release, as always, will be the Fifa Community TOTS, which will be on Friday 28 April. The Eredivisie TOTS will be revealed on the same day.

Fifa players were able to vote from a list of 100 nominees for the Community team, with this 11 meant to represent the season’s most consistent performers, rather than the world’s biggest superstars.

EA has not confirmed the dates of the other releases, but reliable leaks have suggested the following schedule:

  • Friday 5 May – Premier League TOTS
  • Sunday 7 May – EFL TOTS
  • Friday 12 May – Bundesliga TOTS
  • Sunday 14 May – Belgian Pro League TOTS
  • Friday 19 May – La Liga TOTS
  • Sunday 21 May – Liga Portugal TOTS
  • Friday 26 May – Ligue 1 TOTS
  • Sunday 28 May – Saudi Pro League and Turkish SuperLig TOTS
  • Friday 2 June – Serie A TOTS
  • Sunday 4 June – Rest of the World TOTS

As always, the global Ultimate TOTS will be the final release.
